Our approach to development and careers at Jackson Samuel is to find the unique talent in each of our team members, understand their interests and ambitions, and then make sure we provide the opportunities for them to excel.
Our deep subject proficiency means that we are always on the lookout for individuals who can add to our expertise, share our enthusiasm, and are keen to add value to our clients.
As a successful and growing business, there are always opportunities for talented professionals and consultants with a background in generalist human resources, talent management or occupational/organisational psychology.
Is Jackson Samuel right for you?
Each of the individuals within our team of consultants brings a unique skill set, but what sets us apart as a team is our combination of strong academic achievement combined with practical, hands-on experience in large organisations and deep consulting expertise.

Analysts and Junior Consultants
In many consulting organisations, these entry level roles will often be “behind the scenes”. Not so in Jackson Samuel - our analysts and junior consultants are client facing from day one. We believe in providing stretching opportunities for all our new consultants and have a track record in developing individuals from entry level analyst roles into Senior Consulting positions.
Individuals who join us at this level will typically have a postgraduate qualification in Occupational/Organisational Psychology, Business or Human Resources. We also look for individuals with exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) as well as strong analytic skills.
In order to be successful in these roles, you need to be comfortable from the very beginning in dealing with senior individuals from client organisations, so confidence and attention to detail is critical.
Our Senior Consultants all possess practical experience in top level HR roles in blue-chip organisations or have successful long term careers specialising in talent and HR consulting. They are responsible for managing large client projects both in terms of the day to day running of the work and also managing the ongoing client relationship.
The breadth and seniority of client relationships we possess means that our senior consultants gain a range of consulting experiences often more common in large consulting firms.
Because our deep subject expertise is one of the factors that sets Jackson Samuel apart, we are always interested in hearing from individuals who have held senior line HR generalist or specialist talent roles and are interested in making the transition to consulting.
In addition to the permanent Jackson Samuel team, we build long term relationships with a highly experienced team of Associates. Our Associates come from either specialist talent and leadership development backgrounds, or generalist HR in blue-chip organisations. Many of them are also experienced consultants or have held a variety of interim posts.
Our Associates support the delivery of large client projects, or sometimes lead on smaller pieces of work.
