On Course To Earn A Degree

 

With student debts set to reach £27,000 for a three-year course and unemployment among graduates soaring, there must be a better way into a graduate career.

Well there is: find a job that pays you to get a degree. Look for employer schemes that pay your university fees and a salary at the same time. 

Lesley Uren from HR consultancy and talent management specialist Jackson Samuel, warns: “Check that the scheme offers you a variety of experience within the company and provides on-the-job career development opportunities as well as a respected degree.

“And expect high levels of competition – after all, the company will be investing a lot of money in your training. Companies will soon spot applicants who are just chasing a free education.”
