At Jackson Samuel we believe that our consulting work should be underpinned by innovative research into how leading organisations tackle the challenges they are faced with.
Our research reports are both market leading (we aim to move thinking forward) and practical (we include plenty of case studies, and suggestions on how to apply the learning in the real world).
To date, we have produced two substantial pieces of research, both in the talent management arena: The Golden Few: Lessons in talent management from the worlds of entertainment, sport, arts and academia There are some organisations who work exclusively with people who have “it” – whether that “it” is a perfect set of cheekbones, a sublime left-foot or a powerful intellect. They know that no amount of will, effort or even dreams can take the place of an innate gift. You’ve either got it or you haven’t.
These organisations, we call them enterprise organisations – deal daily in the currency of gifts. They understand what it means to be part of an elite group, and understand that for organisations to truly nurture those gifts, individual needs and dreams have to be taken into account.
“The Golden Few” was published in 2008 following research into eight, unique enterprise organisations (such as Manchester City Football Academy, Storm Model Agency). This report sheds new light on the subject of identifying and nurturing the truly gifted in their field. From compliance to commitment: bringing talent management processes to life In 2007 we published an in-depth investigation into talent management, researching 58 leading organisations. We wanted to understand how to transform talent management from an exercise in compliance into one of true commitment, where managers have a genuine desire to build sustainable capability in their organisations.
“From compliance to commitment: bringing talent management processes to life”, is a seminal report, based on our research and extensive experience. It contains over 90 pages of case studies, comment and analysis.
