Lesley Uren has had significant experience as both a leading Consultant, operating with Boards and senior teams and as a top level HR professional, working within blue-chip organisations. She has been a consultant for over nine years - four years as a senior consultant at Towers Perrin London where she specialised in human resources strategy and talent management, and latterly as co-founder and Chief Executive of Jackson Samuel. She has worked with clients across a wide range of sectors (financial services, retail, utilities, media, telecommunications and public sector), and across a wide range of geographies (UK, Europe, United States, Asia, Ireland). Prior to her consulting career, Lesley had over fifteen years' experience of senior leadership and management/organisational development roles within the human resources functions of both leading multinational corporations (PepsiCo, Rothmans) and privately-owned entrepreneurial businesses. She has worked in the pharmaceutical, retail, airline, and FMCG sectors in the UK, Continental Europe, Asia and Australia. Over the last five years, Lesley has led and co-authored three substantial pieces of research into talent management. This research has made a significant contribution to understanding what organisations need to do to manage their most talented individuals effectively. Lesley draws on her combination of business and consulting experience to help companies create people and organisation solutions clearly linked to their business goals.
